Historically we have had some amazing events.  In 2019, we held a wine and food tasting night at the Horse & Trap.  That night we learned the amazing science of what happens when you mix specific wines with specific foods, and the amazing results of the combined ingredients!  

The night was so good, and everyone who went raved about it so much, that we are holding it again!

This year we will have Miria from Yealands leading the tasting, so we are anticipating an exceptional event.

If you like wine and food, I cannot stress how AMAZING this event is.

We start with an aperitif, then follow with 5 tasting courses of wine & food.   Following is a list of the courses, and you will find out when you come which specific Yealands wines match with them to turn a great tasting experience into something mind-blowing.

Start of arrival

An aperitif on ice in a tumbler to give people a chance to arrive & settle.

1. Oysters in half shell done 2 ways
2. Yoghurt marinated chicken skewer with saffron aioli
3. Lamb Cutlet with lemon & pistachio crust
4. Beef Skewer with Bernaise Sauce
5. Blue cheese & pear Crostini

Each person will be given a sheet to take notes about each wine.

P.S. We will have a vegetarian option as well for guest who do not eat meat or seafood.
